A good production with many interesting points. But I don't buy her central premisses. They conflict with too much of my up-close, very personal experience with people of East Asian descent going back decades to my childhood. Still, she reminds us effectively of how much stereotypes can hurt people's feelings and contribute to life's difficulties, especially those that start early, at home with parents. From respectful listening I've learned that not everyone can handle sometimes outrageous demands from parents who have major problems of their own. Non-Asians must always be ready on an instant's notice to accept that not everyone fits the mold. And don't express surprise at those times. It must hurt. I expect to be criticized, but that's ok. To speak publicly is to invite criticism. I'll definitely watch more from this channel.
