I've never noticed much difference overall, only for physical assaults. Even then, it depends who you are. If you're a child, it is likelier that your mother will assault you than your father. Please don't set aside factual scrupulosity when obeying the vulgar urge to be sanctimonious. (Also, the 'rule of thumb' assertion is a myth.)

  2. You're very trusting, even though you're quite aware of reasons you shouldn't be. The whole system we had for producing relatively accurate knowledge—universities and journalists with integrity operating in an atmosphere of freedom of inquiry, book publishers with highly literate and educated editors—is rapidly dissolving and being replaced by content like what you just watched. It's a collapse, and is leading to a cascade of collapses in other areas of life, because relatively accurate knowledge underpins everything.
