"Most scientists" is a very unscientific phrase to inject into one's thinking. Actual scientists are trained not to pay it a lot of heed. Science is about evidence and its evaluation, and scientific truth, if it exists at all, resides in the individual mind. It certainly has zero to do with what most scientists think. It's non-scientists who refer to "scientific consensus" with an air of finality. Scientists go straight on to looking at evidence—that is, if they're any good. Incidentally, he never said what you attribute to him. He said humans play some role. His views may or may not fit well with the current available evidence, but he was a good researcher with a sober mind, an MIT prof of atmospheric science. If there's a variety of decently credentialed opinion out there, give it all a hearing.

Old videos can catch fire pretty spontaneously. A couple of likes get them suggested to fifty more people, five more likes lead to forty more views. From there it might die out, it might smoulder, or first thing you know it's a million views in a week. It's natural in systems with aspects of randomness. It's going to happen unless you purposely suppress it, and why do that? I think it's fun. This one will go back into obscurity soon enough.

Stop badmouthing humanity, please. Spreading misanthropy definitely makes things worse. But everybody can make things better by following this simple dictum: Never mind other people—to improve the world, improve yourself.

@richardbonn3882 That all sounds fair to me. It's too bad about the poor candidates. So you don't think you should vote for the least bad? It's not your chance to prevent a thin slice of harm? Just a thought. Cheers mate
