  3. ​ @norbertsiewert3917  Garry Wills makes clear in his scholarly book about the Declaration of Independence Inventing America, that when Jefferson, who wrote it, said "All men are created equal" he meant morally equal, and that alone. He meant that no one is born with a better sense of what is right than anyone else. He considered the moral sense the highest one.
