  1. "World-class engineer." Not trying to quarrel with you, but the CEO isn't an engineer. He has no engineering training or education, having studied business and physics. But his dad was an engineer, and his first university, though he was a commerce student there, was among other things very steeped in engineering culture and attitude.

  3. The better Chinese industry does, the better their loathsome and illegitimate government does. Therefore I do not wish them well, until the multi-party system comes to China.  In the meantime the rest of the world can easily handle the job of transitioning to EVs.
