  3. In my city a few years back there was a spate of pedestrian deaths from cars/trucks mounting the sidewalk following a collision or just loss of control. (In this video, the deceased was a pedestrian in front of the building.) It's weird, but ever since, when on foot, I've been afraid. (It may be partly due to an accident I was in 6 years ago, caused by another driver). Seeing this wasn't the greatest thing for me.

  4. You don't know that! I bet police are trained to ask right off the top whether the person is late with their payments. It makes absolutely 100% perfect sense. So as we're told the cop initially thought it was a repossession, if you want to assume anything, you should assume the man said "Yes, I'm a bit late," or maybe "I don't know. My wife's at work and she does the bills." You do realize that a person of any ray ce can be behind on a payment?

  8. These machines, since they're never supposed to move an inch, should have motion-activated alarms in them. A small and well-concealed mechanism that's basically a level that activates a cell phone with GPS tracker. In fact phones already have levels in them, so it could just be a modified phone, the case and various other parts removed. Tech-heads could come up with that. For a selling price of maybe $1k per ATM, plus a monthly bill for phone service and security response, problem addressed.
