  38. Dunno whether the allegations are true, though I bet they are. What I'm far surer of is that this style of report is just another example of this channel's rush makeover in the election run-up. Moderates, meaning undecided and swing voters, are being reassured by this sort of coverage that the various institutions (in this case left-wing corporate) are under scrutiny and their issues will be handled. "Nobody's perfect. But 'We, The Left' police ourselves. We're not out of control. The system works. Everything is super. Vote Dem."

  46. They don't go around declaring world emergencies when outside of the originating country there's only 80 cases and all 80 were in-China infections. Today one person in Germany was confirmed as an outside-of-China infection and, boom, Global Emergency Declaration. One case. Declaration within hours. Besides, it's not like they were previously saying 'this is going to be nothing'. Hardly. They just have protocols to follow: Single country = Not global emergency. If you want them to redefine what they call a Global Emergency, write to them with your expert opinion. They'll appreciate that, since they probably never gave the matter any real thought. Maybe ask if you can join their board. Cheers.
