@kensin7244 Sorry, that is just not true. Just look at the Rwandan Radio station broadcasts before the genocide. Yes, hate speech can lead to censorship. But it exists.

@kensin7244 whilst I see your point, the grey area is at what point hate speech can reasonably be seen to have inspired or incited violence? I am not suggesting there is a clear cut definition. I am not stating censorship is a good thing. (I live in a country with strict sharia law and tried to watch the new Tarantino film on sunday, which had most of the ending cut) but there needs to be a realistic expectation that some things will trigger violent reactions from those exposed to them.

@kensin7244 Hi, thanks for the advice re vpn and browser. I had forgotten the Satanic Verses incidents and you raise some good points. With regards to Rwanda and genocides, one of the characteristics in the build up towards genocide is dehuminisation of the target, which occurred in Rwanda many months before the direct calls to violence with Tutsi being described as cockroaches regularly. http://www.genocidewatch.org/genocide/8stagesofgenocide.html
