The gospels were written from roughly 65-110 years after Jesus ' reported death. The fist non-Christian text that mentio his name was approximately 120 years in a Roman journal.. I should have been more clear on this point, apologies. Large parts of the bibles texts were changed i.e the site of hill at Calvary. This was not known until mother of King Constance went to the area in 325 and decided where it would be, which then became codified in later texts.
