Liutauras Grybauskas I would say Ukraine(by huge margin), Baltic States and Poland are the main target of negative propaganda, Hungary and Slovakia are viewed neutrally, Czechia is 50/50.

The_Bearded_Explorer Man I'm a native speaker but I can distinguish some ethnic accents only like Chechen accent, if we discuss russian accents spoken by ethnic Russians in the different parts of the country the difference is almost non existent, maybe a couple of words is used somewhere and not used in another place but that's it.

omer dassa I think Islam is also protected but I haven't heard anyone prosecuted for hatred towards Islam, however I haven't seen any public insults against Islam aside from some stupid YouTube comments. Usually people are careful about Islam in Russia.

Liutauras Grybauskas My friend no sane educated person would watch Russian TV now. They promote hatred against everyone , their only goal is to show how it's terrible outside so people get distracted from their own Russian problems. Obviously not loyal ExUSSR and Warsaw Pact countries are the main targets. Countries like Germany, France and Italy usually viewed neutral or neutral-positive ,sometimes criticized as well but with no hatred.

smokeybiatch it's not about an education it's about general attitude translated through propaganda, current regime won't talk much about communist crimes and negative effects of Central European countries ending up in the Soviet sphere of influence. Their attitude is like "well we defeated the nazis who were an absolute evil, other things doesn't matter that much". I mean both old and new generations don't really want to know the true...the old ones just want to be proud for the past not sad or sorry. The new ones do not really care about history.

neves bird If you watch mainstream media and "support"/not questioning their arguments you are a victim, doesn't matter if it's Putins propaganda or the "Western" one. The difference it's still a lot more of "checks and balances" in the West so in autocratic societies propaganda affects you more if you fell for it and make bad decisions because of it. Still from my experience "victims" of "western propaganda" are more pro-active with their life and victims of Putins propaganda are more passive-aggressive.
