SirOink in Russia it's in the bathroom/kitchen like 70%/30% , own washing mashing is pretty much essential for a russian, no one will tolerate a common washing machines for the entire building like they have in the United States or sometimes in Europe.

What's strange about it? An average salary in St. Petersburg is something like $1000 per month or even less so you can expect a $500 per month rate for a barely decent liveable apartment.

Aren't those ferries from Stockholm and Helsinki arriving to the port of St.P visa free for 3 days?

opportunity for what? For a blue collar employee, scientist or university professor - maybe, but you can run an international or online business from anywhere in the world these days, developing markets often have better business opportunities and way cheaper cost of living. St. Petersburg, aside from a shitty climate and a lack of sunny days is not a bad choice for a freelancer that is not into Thailand like heat.

Which city is that? $400 per month is a bargain for Finland I guess I bet Finnish median salaries in that 70K city is something like EUR3000 per month while in St. Petersburg it's probably EUR700 per month

Invented doesn't mean they became widespread immediately, most of today's home appliances became mass produced post WW2 in the US

Russians? 90% of those "russians" are Ukrainians, the last time I checked It was only like 32000 of Russians living in CZ compared to like 250000 Ukrainians
