Yep if you consider “normal”=“regular” but at the same time it’s hard to tell if this model of society is “sustainable” wasting so much of a talent and human potential in the 21st century when it becomes so important just to preserve old neo-feudal models based on selling natural resources. I believe countries won’t be able to afford their current ineffective and corrupt governments even in those western countries not to say Russia.

I don’t watch TV but from what they (ppl. who do) commenting online they have been told all kind of ridiculous sht you mentioned that Ukrainian people are suffering under a “Nazi regime” and those “Nazi groups “ are destroying their own cities. Basically the Russian society is split one part doesn’t believe it but often had to keep their mouth shut and formally comply…other part will believe any crazy sht the propaganda will tell them. But the majority just want too live their lives hoping for the better and keep their thinking out of it as much as possible. Like if you can’t do much about it why stressing yourself….

I believe most people think 2006-2012 were “normal” like everything is more or less developing people getting richer and the government is kinda “lazy” to restrict personal freedoms and producing violence…people having their plans not related to their government antics. Now it’s all gone. From 2012-2021 it was still kinda OK, personal freedoms being slowly restricted but people could still make money, travel to the west, services were booming people though ok no political freedoms but it’s still kinda OK.
