Georgia has been switching from Russian to English as a second language for political reasons, people in many small countries don’t have enough content in their native language so usually those countries who don’t have a global language as their mother tongue tend to learn a global language. Young Russians learn it too because it give them some opportunities at least it’s much easier to travel and do business outside of Russia.

  2. Geographically they are mostly in Asia I believe and it felts in some way(influence),but associated with Europe because they are an ancient Cristian civilization…just like Armenia, though Armenia is completely in Asia geographically

  3. What do you want him to do? wait until the country becomes North Korea 2.0 ? No one will guarantee people will be allowed to leave freely in the future not to mention repressions(even against people not politically active), limitations(internet etc) etc. Nothing good is ahead for Russia as long as that regime stays. People believing their rights will be the same (even as of January 2022) are just plain stupid.
