Midwifes in most if not all of the Europe are AMUSING.... THEY ARE LIKE A FAIRY from the Disney cartoons when it comes with blessing of a help and care... They are like a mother a sister a nurse a professional a private secretary for to organise everything and last but not least VERY CARING FOR THE BABY and MOTHER for sure.... they and the nurses in the Delivery section is known as the most AMUSING DEPARTMENT in the hospitals... I talking about my experience with them. Me as giving birth 50 years ago we were LITURARLY SPOILED ROTEN buy them... I just like you gave birth as in a new country of my life and had non of my relatives near so IT MEANT SOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR ME.

MIDWIFE ARE NOT NOT NOT and once again NOT NURSES AT ALL. MIDWIFE HAS NEARLY AS HIGH EDUCATION AS DR... ABOUT 4 YEAR IN THE UNIVERSITY OF MEDICAL SCHOOL WHICH IS SPECILIZED.

It is NOT JUST IN GERMANY but ALL OVER IN EUROPE IS LIKE THAT....and most of the industrial countries in the world. if you had what she experience you would be just as happy like she is . besides many people in America would love to have it like she did. to get help and advise when it need it.

The Dr go to the university and become a DR after 5 years in Europe. The midwife do the same but for 4 years/ SINCE WHEN IS THAT A HOCUS POCUS... CATCH UP WITH THE 21st Century.

@ssm445 IT IS NOT A BOLLOCKS AT ALL. I WORKED AS A REGISTED DENTAL NURSE and I can tell that a DENTIS WHO JUST GET HIS DIPLOME ALWAYS ASK US NURSE FOR ADVICE... OF COUSE NOT THOSE WHO HAD MANY YEARS OF EXPERIENCE BUT THE NEW ONCE ALSO ASK THE NURSES FOR ADVISE IF THE NURSE IS WELL AND HIGH EDUCATED AND HAVE A MANY YEARS OR DECADES OF EXPERIENCE IN THE SAME DEPARTMENT... DUE TO THAT THEY LEARNED FORM ALL OF THE PREVIOUS DOCTORS DURING THE TIME AND THE NEWLY GRADUATED DR ONLY KNOW MOST IN THEORY BUT NOT HAS NOT SOOOOOOOO MUCH OF A PHYSICAL EXPERIENCE. SO DR MIKE JUST GO BACK TO THE RUSIANS CIRCUS AS A CLOWN AS YOU HAVE SHOWED YOU ARE.... YOU ARE A WORST CLOWN EVER AND ALWAYS TRY TO GET INVOLVED WITH CYBER NETWORK FOR CLOWNS RATHER THAN ANY PATIANS WHICH YOU NEVER TALK ABOUT EVER WITH PATION... She say treated as a emergency because in the US it is DR business even the child birth is NOT A ILLNESS but A NATURAL PROSESS WHERE THE BABY and the MOTHERS BODY KNOW WHEN and HOW TO PROCESS therefore it is NOT IMPORTANT for all time the dr to be involved ONLY if the pregnancy is NORMAL and NO COMPLICATION... but still just for to be sure a Dr is always near by and come in and get involved in the last minute or in the very end of the birth giving. THE MIDWIFE IS EDUCATED FOR A NATURAL BIRTH while the DR IS FOR THE MORE SERIOUS COMPLICATION CALLS or OPERATIONS. THAT IS WHY SHE SAY IN THE US ALWAYS DR INVOLVE LIKE IT IS A EMERGENCY SITUATION. for go GOD SAKE PEOPLE GAVE BIRTH IN THOUSENDS OF YEARS WITH OUR DR.... DO YOU GET IT NOW WHAT SHE MEANT....
