Laughs in Red Seal Brick and Stone Mason. But seriously, people who are only there because of entitlements not afforded to to others beyond the benefits of gaining journeymanship, which is supposed to be the whole point, rarely finish the apprenticeship anyhow, and it all ends up being a total waste of taxpayer money, eaten up by union halls, gangsters and the bureaucracy. The result is that now they import tradesmen by the hundreds of thousands every year to fill the void created by telling everyone, if they don't go to university, they're a failure. And once people have been spoiled by that culture and that idea of what "work" is they're completely useless to any potential employer like me. Meanwhile, my relatives who work in the education industry (and it is an industry) come crying to me when they want to borrow money. I offered my brother inlaw a summer job instead. He thought I was joking.

Being Rhodesian means I'm essentially a man without a country, and I've seen all this happen before. It's only going to get a lot worse unless we put a stop to it now. They'll tell you the Bush war was black vs. white, but 64% of the Rhodesian military was black, and that was with white conscription, while enrolment by blacks was completely voluntary. When the white population was forced to leave, those black service men and their families weren't allowed to. Most of them are long dead now. #SitNomineDigna #PamweChete #Fireforce #PATU #RLI #RAR #SweetBanana #RhodesiansNeverDie #MakeZimbabweRhodesiaAgain

The fact that the whole "watermelon" stereotype came out of the fact that, after the US Civil War, when the government was still paying lip service to the "Ten Acres and a Mule" policy, they would give black veterans what they thought was the most worthless parcels of land they could find to offer them. Often these plots would be riverside wetlands, or submerged under a swamp and completely waterlogged, making it impossible to grow just about anything there. But then these black crofters came up with a solution: A cash crop that the consumer would pay big money for, and one that thrived in those kinds of waterlogged conditions... Watermelons... It was fkn ingenious and something black folks aught to be proud of.
