You expect journalists to be honest, accurate, forthright, etc.,?

"Freedom of speech" means only that the government can't arrest you for speaking your mind. It doesn't mean your employer can't fire you. ***EDIT: Before posting a reply, why don't you READ the other comments. At least five other people now have chimed in that since the woman was a state employee, it is difficult or impossible to terminate her -- which is debatable, because in my state (Illinois) non-tenured teachers can most certainly be fired with cause...and teachers in their probationary period (first 1-3 years) can be fired with OR without cause. Given how young this teacher looks I would bet she was still in her probationary period. Regardless, if FIVE other people have commented something, then your commenting the same thing DOESN'T make you look or sound smart, it just makes you sound like an idiot.

+M A and Tony Tucker ...I live in Chicago and we had 800 homicides (2400 shootings) in 2021, just one year alone. Virtually ALL of that was black-on-black. There was one black-on-Asian, and there was one young white man killed by a stray bullet (fired by a black suspect) while sitting on a train. I can't remember a single homicide that was white-on-black (had that happened, it would've been national headlines for weeks). So your 96% and 99.999% figures are probably even more accurate than the official figures we are given.

@TwiztedMannix87 I don’t know what universe you live in, but if I were to go on social media and badmouth my employer, I’d be out of a job really quick and I would fully expect them to fire me under those circumstances, for my lack of discretion if not my own stupidity.

I was in Houston just two months ago and couldn’t believe seeing all these large ditches just full of standing water, like rolling out a welcome mat for mosquitoes.

She thought she was untouchable and that the teachers union would protect her at all costs. She could've gotten away with this in a place like Chicago or Trenton, but someone needs to tell her "welcome to Texas honey", teachers unions there are mostly powerless.

I've worked as a wheelchair attendant. When a passenger requests a wheelchair at the departure/origin airport, the airline automatically generates a wheelchair request at the destination. Sometimes, a passenger who requested a wheelchair at their departure airport will walk off the plane at their arrival airport, and walk right past me, ignoring me as I hold up a whiteboard with their name on it. There is nothing more annoying than standing for a half hour inside an unheated jet bridge in -10F weather waiting for a passenger who walks right past you.

Someone is harboring him. Find out who his closest friends or family members are and stake out their homes. Fugitives don't/can't live on their own because it becomes too risky having to venture out for groceries, medications, etc., What about his bank cards? Where and when were the last time they were used? That can give vital clues about where he is hiding.

Crazy. Why would anyone even dream of going back to an employer who had fired them? It would be much too awkward. I've had times where I was fired and didn't think I deserved it, but never would I protest and try to get my old job back. Also, by going public with this story she is making it much more difficult for her to find teaching work elsewhere, should she ever decide to resign and relocate.
6
Had this happened in Chicago; the shooter would be behind bars until 2045.

He’s a good kid, been gittin his life together…

I worked for a couple of years as a wheelchair attendant. Prior to about 10 years ago, you used to need a doctor's note to get a wheelchair at an airport. Then the P.C. crowd got involved and they did away with that requirement, so now anybody can request one without a doctor's note. I could've easily predicted that this type of abuse would happen. It's not fair to the people who genuinely need a wheelchair because they have to wait longer and risk missing their flights. There are only so many wheelchair attendants.

Before I even watch this video, I’m gonna predict what I think the woman will say: ”Mah boy didn’t deserve this. Mah son was a good keeyid. He was no monster, he had love in his heart. Always had a heart fulla love. He had a smahl dat could laht up a roon …okay now I’ll watch the video to see how close I was.
3
AurielAlpha lol, pretty much! And whenever you hear someone say “I don’t condone…”, trust me, they condone it.
3
I live in Chicago and quite frankly, I’m very surprised to see this in a red state like Texas. I would think that Texas wouldn’t put up with so many people living on the street like the way they are tolerated in blue cities like Chicago or San Francisco or Los Angeles.
3
And also, homeless shelters won’t allow you to smoke, or drink or shoot up. You’re right on my man. I’m guessing you’re a Texan because you’re thinking clearly and rationally on this issue. Any Leftist from Chicago or San Francisco would say something like ”Oh honey theeze poor souls! I hope they can get the help they need!” … the truth is that Ronald Reagan was right, living on the street is almost always by choice.
3
@bassranger1054 Didn't want to be in the shelter anymore for fear of being robbed and assaulted again Right, so let's let them sleep in trains or train stations or in tents underneath highway overpasses. Because Chicago's Red Line is a very safe and secure place at 3am.

@unknownblackmale4021 [sigh] well assuming they HAVE then what the hell is taking them so long to find him? This ain't the 1970s. We're in an electronic world with video cameras on every porch, it's hard for a person to disappear and stay disappeared.
3
He race baited and disobeyed cops knowing the situation would escalate to a point where he could claim to be a victim of “rathism” and police brutality and then sue.

@coughjaw0154 probably painted murals for him all over Houston

Texas is a right-to-work state. Teachers unions there don't have the same kind of power that they do in Chicago or Newark.
2
@teastrainer3604 exactly. It’s just too awkward. Imagine having to go back and face the boss who fired you. Even if you were reassigned to a different department, you might still have to see him/her on a daily basis.
2
AurielAlpha I agree and I’m getting so sick and tired of these people
2
The news anchor says his race at 2:34 - which I’m actually surprised she did.
2
@DILLIGAS-GAMING I don’t blame you. Most of what is reported is inaccurate, incomplete or just completely fabricated lies.
2
@msunje9862 tell us how you know that, genius? The report doesn't even give one mention of what specifically this teacher wrote that got her fired (and that's the reporter's fault).
2
They look like good kids who are getting their lives together.
2
@TheScotthutch I sense that someone is triggered 🤣
2
@djaj423 thank you. That’s what we call playing the “ghetto lottery” (…Libs will call us “rrrathist” for pointing out these facts).
2
@oil_painted_dessert ”Good evening ma’am, Trooper Smith of the Illinois State Patrol, the reason I pulled you over is because you’re going 90 in a 55, you have a broken tail light, your baby in the back seat has no car seat, and you’ve been wearing in and out of traffic” ”No you racist cop, you pulled me over just because I’m black” Liberals: ”Oh honey! That rathist cop racially profiled that strong independent black woman! Oh honey I can’t even!”
2
If he's ever been arrested before in the U.S. (which sounds like he has) he'll have a file in the USCIS system
1
@busted1396 he's a real model citizen ain't he...a pillar of the community. The guy shot women and a small child...give him the death penalty.
1
Tragic. MSNBC is reporting that it’s a white supremacist who did this. Racism is alive and well in sub-Saharan Africa.
1
@chris-o2v9c 77% of all black children grow up in a household with no father. When we say “no father”, we mean no stepfather, no foster father, no father presence at all. Blacks did not have such problems with crime in 1960 when the fatherless rate was only 20 percent. But today it’s almost 80 percent, and the result of that is clear

@yoyo19583 at-will employment laws

Liberals: "We need to open our borders and our hearts to these people...they're just here to seek a better life." Also Liberals: "No, they can't stay here in our city...we don't have room for them...we don't have the money....Biden please give us some money to house and feed these people!!!"

Unless they teach an important major like nursing or IT

Shut up you racist. His momma was interviewed by WBLM-TV and she said he’s a good kid, been turnin’ his life around. His father couldn’t be found for comment.
1
His mother said he’s a good kid, and has been getting his life together.
1
Wtf?
1
@TwiztedMannix87 working for a state or the federal government DOESN’T mean you can’t be fired - I can’t stand when people say that. During your first year you are under probation and can be fired for virtually anything - that is, by definition, “at-will employment”. I have worked for both the federal government AND the commonwealth of Massachusetts.
1
@shrugrug7172 you do realize there’s such a thing as “at-will” employment don’t you? So unless this teacher is tenured (doubtful, given her age) she’s fair game. Tell her to cut her losses and move on. As Candace Owens said, ”Life’s unfair, get a helmet”
1
Every time there's a murder like this, the Liberals' first response is always "BUT! BUT! US citizens commit crimes too!" Problem is Liberals about those either, unless it's white on black (which is only like 1 out of every 10,000 murders)
1
@teastrainer3604 your friend wasn’t very smart - he should’ve just cut his losses and moved on. The only scenario I can picture where I might confront a former employer would be if I were to find out that they gave me a negative (non-neutral) reference.
1
If a white cop body slammed a black man who attacked him, something tells me you’d be screaming the skin color of both people involved.
1
@farleyNme you mean that journalists are scumbags? Yes I agree.
1
@thh4584 I was actually thinking about BSNBC
1
Good point. But I think the fact that she’s so small and Lightweight shows you what a coward some of these crooks are. They only go after women and the elderly.
