Everybody else liked this movie except me. One of the things I disliked was its grossly inaccurate portrayal of military customs. Like Kaffee sarcastically telling Galloway he was "sexually aroused" by her, or walking into her office munching on an apple and slouching in his seat. Jessup's crude, disgusting language when Kaffee and Galloway are interviewing him. Markinson pretending to care about getting justice for Santiago but then taking his own life and leaving Kaffee with unactionable information. And don't even get me started on Demi Moore's character. Sanctimonious and hypocritical. Berating Kaffee for being a "chicken sh**" when she's pushing him to risk his entire career by smearing a high-ranking officer.

@mikethemechanic7395 I hated Dawson and Downey’s characters too. They brutally hazed and murdered a fellow Marine (I don’t care if they were following orders or not) and then they expect their lawyer to perform a miracle and get them completely exonerated. Dawson has some nerve (after what he did to Santiago) lecturing others about ”Unit, Corps, God, Country” and saying he doesn’t want to dishonor himself or the Marines. And Downey is portrayed as a weak-minded sissy who simply goes along with everything Dawson tells him to do, including stuffing a rag down a fellow recruit’s throat apparently. As you can probably tell I can’t stand Aaron Sorkin and his fairy tales.

@jefftomasello3258 I totally agree about Rob Reiner being a clown. I don't know if you saw one of my other comments where I made reference to this.

@Brian-yt8fu the director (Rob Reiner) and writer (Aaron Sorkin) are a couple of Leftists who don't seem to have much interest in fairly and accurately portraying either the military or its customs and courtesies. I know people are gonna say "But Sean it's just a movie, it's just Hollywood, they took dramatic license for entertainment purposes blah blah blah" but fiction or not, there's a certain level of disrespect for a filmmaker to portray military personnel acting and behaving like they do in this movie.

@ I didn’t mind Kaffee’s character at all, to be honest. The character I disliked was Galloway.
