  1. 1) and 2) ...aren't the building inspector/fire inspector the same thing? 3) Both Derderian brothers were indicted. Of the two, only Michael served any jail time (I think around six months if I remember). As part of their sentencing the brothers were allowed to choose which one of them would actually go to jail. They decided it would be Michael (while Jeff got community service). Michael was on vacation in Florida the night of the fire, but reportedly he was a little more involved in the day-to-day management of The Station than Jeff, who was inside the nightclub when the fire broke out. 4) I'm assuming you mean the band manager (Daniel Biechle). He DID serve time after pleading guilty (against his attorney's advice) and wound up serving about 20 months. He is the one player in this tragedy who was genuinely remorseful and willing to accept responsibility, unlike the fire inspector Larocque (who took an early retirement and moved to Florida) or the Derderians who have lied at every turn and later filed for bankruptcy to avoid paying any civil damages. Biechle sent handwritten notes to the families of every single one of the victims.
