  2. The teacher's union could've held these negotiations over the summer recess. Instead they waited until AFTER school started so they could make the city look bad when schools were shut down and students were forced to stay home. Pretty despicable strategy, basically using the kids as pawns.

These people could’ve held these negotiations over the summer recess; instead they deliberately waited until AFTER school started so they could make the city look bad when the students were forced to stay home.

  6.  @majinhiei7  well I live in Chicago, so I know just how toxic liberalism can be. But you conservatives aren't ones to talk. You've got your own problems. All of the poorest states and all of the states with the lowest teacher's salaries and lowest spending per pupil, are RED states. Even as you people on the right decry the welfare system yet most of the people in your own corners of the country are the ones most dependent on it. As you can tell, I really hate extremism and party politics.
