Well I don't feel bad for them. A lot of these folks took their stimulus payments and bought big-screen TVs or took trips to Vegas.

Why not move to a city/state where rents are affordable? Oh right, because it's easier to blame everyone from Congress to Wall Street bankers.

Alcohol, drugs, marijuana, trips to Vegas, big-screen TVs, and lots of dining out at Cheesecake Factory.

I don't feel sorry one bit at all. People are stupid to live in places like L.A. or Miami or Manhattan that they can't afford, simply because they refuse to live anywhere it's not 70F all year round.

I keep asking this question myself. People (particularly Leftist politicians) love to harp about how expensive housing and rents are, but they only focus on places like L.A. or San Francisco or NYC. How about St. Louis or Cincinnati or Fargo or Wichita or Tulsa? All VERY affordable places to live. And those last three have strong job markets to boot. I'm sorry but you're NOT entitled to live in a sunny warm place if you don't have the means.

@jeretso can’t argue with that. 😆 But are there that many “awkward people” in this world to make someone like her so rich and famous?
2
@stevenluo9516 the bottom line is there are way too many people living in an area where nobody is necessarily entitled to live. These people won’t move because they are lazy and undisciplined and refuse to live anywhere that it gets below 40F in the wintertime.

@jeretso Swifty is no good

@jeretso I see nothing special about her at all - I don’t understand what all the hype is about. Maybe I’m just too old but Swifty I think is one of the most overrated music artists in history. I feel like if she stood up on stage and sang “Old McDonald” her sheep fans would still be swooning, just because she’s Taylor Swift.

@jeretso she’s so awkward-looking too.

I still have a hard time believing she's been unable to do SOME type of work for 3+ years.

@Xazavia he’s talking about the PANDEMIC, which started in Feb/March 2020. THREE years ago…jeez….
1
@Xazavia what are you talking about? (is ”Why are you so defensive?” just a random comeback you use?) You’ve posted like two or three comments now asking what was meant by “three years”. I don’t know why you’re unable to do the math. I’ll explain it one more time so there’s no more confusion: the pandemic started in early 2020. There were moratoriums on eviction (different states had different deadlines) so the OP (like many others including me) is asking why people who haven’t paid their rent in three years felt they were entitled to go on living somewhere for free.

For most people unable to afford rent, it’s because they choose to stay in areas that are too expensive, whether it’s NYC or mild-weather places like SF, LA or Miami. There are plenty of affordable areas of the country but of course people will offer up a thousand different excuses for why they won’t relocate. And Leftists will defend them.

@J.PMorgan moving is a lot cheaper than staying, genius. I don’t care how much something costs, if you have to borrow money, then do it. Stop making excuses for these horrible people
