We need to differentiate between "being homeless" and "living on the street", the latter of which is done by choice. Many homeless live in cars or vans, or couch surf with friends, but are clean and sober and hold down jobs. Be careful not to lump them into the same category as the drug addicts you see on the streets. Most people, when they see the word "homeless", 99 percent of the time will think of all the junkies and drugg addicts who live on the streets (by choice - because they can't smoke or drink or use drugs in shelters).

@brianholloway6205 I know. I was making a point of my own, but sorry if my third sentence sounds accusatory towards you. I'll rephrase it so it reads more as general advice.
