I'm not saying I think Scott Peterson is innocent, but I always found it remarkable that they managed to convict the guy despite no physical evidence (all the evidence was circumstantial) and meanwhile OJ Simpson walked like an Egyptian.

@rellis881 I don't know if I'm a "free thinker" necessarily, I'm just thinking in terms of how courts work. Again I'm not saying I think Peterson is innocent (he very likely was) but all the evidence was circumstantial so it's surprising they were able to get a conviction just based on that. So in the court of public opinion Peterson could be convicted a thousand times over, but in a court of law, it's a different set of rules and regs as you point out. There was an equal (if not greater) amount of circumstantial evidence against OJ on top of all the physical/DNA evidence they had against him and compare OJ to Peterson, this clean-cut all-American guy with no prior criminal history, and although he was known to have cheated on his wife and although they had loud arguments (like most any couple), I don't think there was ever any evidence of him having physically abused Laci.
