  1.  @canisXsapien  I sure hope you're right...loss of electrical power would explain the lack of communication, and as long as they didn't get entangled or entrapped in the wreckage they would be able to float back to the surface simply by "dumping" their ballast, which is done by having the five men all lean up against one side of the compartment to tilt it, and then the ballast simply rolls off
