  1. Careful what you wish for. If it weren't for snowbirds and tourists, Florida would be so poor it would resemble Haiti. Florida is 100% dependent on people bringing money in, because the state neither has nor generates any money of its own.

  3. IKR?! I say this all the time! The Republicans LOVE to mention places like Detroit and Chicago as being broke and crime-ridden...but the truth is that most of the poorest states are RED states.

  4. As usual, people only talk about the weather. I guess attributes like the job market, cost of living, public education, crime, quality of health care, etc., don't matter when judging a place to live.
