Chicago is out of control. I was almost mugged on the Red Line train late last Saturday by two very young men while returning home from a date (and I'm 6' tall 200 lbs). These thugs have no fear of anything anymore!

@tfromtheo I wish I could tell you here bro but I never know who's reading these comments and I don't want to give some punk-ass any funny ideas know what I'm saying? The short story is that I jumped up from my seat and ran into the next train and luckily they didn't follow. I think they were expecting a docile and complaint reaction but I was tired and very cranky at that time.

@dunhillsupramk3 the ironic part is that Saturday night the city was really crowded...numerous concerts and a Cubs-Sox game...you'd expect something like this to happen on a weeknight with nobody around but that just shows you how brazen these thieves are. They're doing it in plain sight. And there were at least a half dozen or so people on the train with me at the time.

@jcman240 how about because I don't want to get my personal vehicle car-jacked or be taken hostage by an Uber driver...that makes the train a viable alternative

@goulash64 one dude sat down right next to me, another (I assume they were working together) stood in front of me about three feet away..the dude who sits says "Got money? Got money?" ...I thought at first it was a panhandler (very common on the CTA) so I ignored both of them, did not make eye contact and got up and walked away fast...luckily they didn't follow
