@FinessingFinance2024 I used to work for a bank fraud department, and I now work retail. I’ll sometimes have customers call me to report they are missing their credit or debit card(s) and to see if someone might’ve turned it in. I always tell them that if they’ve lost their bank card, they need to call the bank, cancel the card and get a new one because even if someone turns it in, once the card is out of their possession it’s considered compromised (they can’t be sure someone didn’t snap a picture of the numbers on the card). But people never heed my advice - they always say ”No! I don’t want to get a new card! It’ll be fine once I find it!” People are such IDIOTS!
