She earns $155K a year. I agree she's doing a good job but three months of paid vacation is ridiculously excessive.

@HilaryB. if it's unpaid leave then I say go for it. But three months of paid vacation at taxpayer expense seems gratuitous for a public servant merely doing her job. I agree Darrell Brooks is a piece of garbage who deserves to rot, but if you're going to make a case for the judge deserving special considerations for putting up with a difficult litigant, then you'd have to say the clerk, reporter, bailiff and prosecution team all deserve paid vacations as well.

@HilaryB. where is this silly rumor coming from that the judge is pregnant? She's 52 years old. And please don't try to say "No you're wrong Sean, I personally know many women in their mid-50s who are pregnant." Baloney. Even if a woman were pregnant at that age, she would have to be on leave from work due to the health risks and (extremely high) chances of a miscarriage.
