@SeventeenSphinx that's my point. They don't do that, they simply rush the border or they cross illegally (which debunks their whole asylum story). The Liberals refuse to accept this.

@SeventeenSphinx even if they're from Mexico, they can't just cross the border illegally, or rush the border and then say they're asylum seekers.

@tactickleshtooper1753 and 069220: it completely debunks that Democratic talking point which reps like AOC keep repeating over and over ( "applying for asylum is not a crime" ). If these people were genuine asylum seekers they would present themselves to a CBP official at a port of entry, or, at the very least they would show up for their court hearing after being apprehended and arrested, which is their opportunity to make their asylum case in front of a judge who would hear them out. They do neither of those things.
