Comments by "Sean" (@sean2015) on "Mary Jo Kopechne's cousin reacts to 'Chappaquiddick' film" video.
George W. Bush and Dick Cheney had 3 DUIs between them. They get's to be POTUS and VPOTUS . . That's fair.

Are you a forensic pathologist? Did you autopsy Kopechne's body? If you answered "no" to both of those questions then your opinions (and they are opinions , not facts ) are meaningless.

Teabaggers love to support war criminals like George W. Bush and his wife Laura who ran a stop sign and got a 17 year-old boy killed...and she was never charged, but hey, who cares?

MJK drowned. I'm not stupid enough to believe a bunch of Teabaggers trying to play up yet another tragedy. No healthy adult would just sit there for 4, 5, 6 hours in an upside-down car filling with water waiting for someone to come and rescue them. She did what anyone else would do in that situation, she kicked and thrashed to get out until she drowned.

*Cough* Roy Moore *Cough*

Pirate Nation nope. I'm not even a Liberal. You're the ones who can't stand it when it involves your own kind. If George W. Bush or Donald Trump had been driving that car you wouldn't give a rat's about Mary Jo Kopechne.
6
+Pirate Nation actually you're the one giving opinions, and as the old saying goes "you're entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts" ...it's okay though, I don't expect you to understand that
6
The official motto of the Republican party: "We only care about car accident victims if it involves Democrats"
5
+Hemi Power prison sentences for manslaughter range from 3-6 years depending on whether it's voluntary, involuntary or vehicular manslaughter...don't know where in God's name you came up with a figure like 25 years, that's absurd
5
+Hemi power I am NOT a Liberal. Here's a newsflash for you: not everyone who disagrees with and/or dislikes Republicans is a Liberal. There are plenty of Independents, Libertarians, Reformists, and Moderates (among many others) who think the Republican party is a joke. I'm a Conservative "Blue Dog" Democrat (and NRA member) who has voted for Republican presidents TWICE in my lifetime (McCain in 2008, Trump in 2016) - so what does it tell you when someone who himself is a two-time Republican voter is willing to speak to the lies and hypocrisy of the Republican party. You still won't even condemn Laura Bush or admit she should've faced charges, I give up at this point. As far as "bringing politics into the discussion" is concerned, go back and read what you wrote in your previous posts and you tell me who is doing that. Regardless, it's silly for you to act so bewildered or offended by talk about politics when this discussion involves Ted Kennedy (a U.S. Senator for 47 years, and member of the Kennedy family). If you wish to avoid politics you can go the sports section of YouTube. I will end this discussion now as we are going back and forth and it's pointless for me to reason with you, you're clearly too hyperpartisan. Good day.

@sarasmith5110 Newt Gingrich ("Ol' Family and Moral Values Newt") committed adultery with three different women and he (almost) got to be president. The Teabaggers loved the guy and almost gave him the nomination. So there. I'd be careful about who you point fingers at because there are members of your own party who are guilty of the same exact thing.

+John Shedlock, it was manslaughter , not murder you fool

Hemi power based on everything you've written I think it's pretty obvious where your political leanings are. Had George W. Bush or Donald Trump been driving that car you wouldn't give two shits about Mary Jo Kopechne. How unfortunate that people like you have politicized the Chappaquiddick tragedy the same way you've politicized Benghazi as well as all the recent terrorist attacks in Brussels, Paris, etc,. I have dealt with the subject. I've stated over and over again that Kennedy should've been charged with manslaughter (NOT murder). End of story. You have your answer, now it's YOUR turn. It's a simple "yes or no" question of whether you think Laura Bush should've been charged with manslaughter. But you lack the courage and the objectivity to even address it - the one deflecting and ducking here is you, not me (I've already spoken to the Chappaquiddick tragedy). It's also despicable for you and all the other Teabaggers to slander Mary Jo Kopechne's good name by saying she was pregnant with Ted Kennedy's baby, which suggests she was a promiscuous slut who would have an adulterous affair with a married man.
4
Mary Jo drowned.
4
He was drunk, in shock and concussed from the accident. Remember he had also almost died in a plane crash four years earlier. He's still guilty of manslaughter, but he certainly didn't murder her.
3
BigChief hey Mensa man, here's some research for YOU to do so you can be even smarter than you already are and we can continue bowing down to your genius... https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/laura-bush-car-accident/ lemme guess...this is just more "fake news" right?
3
+Harry Tuttle, fine! Thank you! That's all I wanted to hear. Put Laura Bush and Ted Kennedy in jail for manslaughter and we're good. BTW though...Mary Jo Kopechne drowned. She did not suffocate.
3
"We only care about victims of sexual assault and car accidents if the perpetrator was a Liberal Democrat" --The Republican Party
3
Actually it was Rush Limbaugh who gave him that nickname
2
+Hemi power wow that is such crap, you need to stop listening to talk radio and watching Fox News...Kennedy was guilty of manslaughter and that's the end of the story...I'm tired of hearing right-wing conspiracy theories that he drove off the bridge on purpose (risking his own life in the process) and left her there to die...now the big question is whether you possess enough objectivity and credibility to admit that Laura Bush should've been charged with manslaughter also....or am I gonna hear excuses like "she was so young" , "it was an accident" , "nobody is perfect" , "it happened so long ago"
2
yeah Marilee Stetson, I know it's hard for you to accept or believe but liberals aren't the only ones who think the Republican (Teabagger) party is a joke. The only ones who like Teabaggers are Teabaggers. Libs, Indys, Libertarians, Reformists, etc., all think the GOP is a joke. Deal with it.
2
Knitwit so based on what you've written...suppose if you were married and your spouse was President of the United States, then it was revealed that he/she had cheated on you, are you saying you'd be okay with it if it happened before they became President?
2
Denise Lopez to whom were you addressing that comment?
2
+Pirate Nation, you said you agree that Laura Bush should've been charged with manslaughter just like Ted Kennedy and that's all I wanted to hear (you could've been a little more vocal about it from the beginning however)...go ahead and call me a "leftist" if it makes you happy, but you'll look like an idiot doing so because I must be the only leftist in the entire world who voted for Trump, voted for John McCain, and is a NRA member (surpriiiiiise!)...but hey whatever rocks your boat pal
1
+Carole Wilkins but Roy Moore said he was sorry, it happened so long ago, and he sought and received God's forgiveness [snicker]
1
Cindy Goldman who are you talking to?
1
Carole Wilkins I was being sarcastic lol
1
Michael McHugh stay classy
1
KnitWit....so the term "Teabagger" offends the Teabaggers? Yeah like we all remember how polite and civil and courteous and cooperative the Teabaggers were with Barack Obama for eight years. Obama had the patience of a saint to deal with those Teabaggers.
1
Knitwit....thank youuuuuu, finally someone admits the truth
1
Knitwit....so you're now you're not only gonna spit on Mary Jo's grave, but you're also gonna say her parents were money grabbers who accepted hush money from the Kennedys. Your mind is truly in the gutter.
1
Hey ronald Hamman you besmirch her by suggesting she was pregnant with Ted Kennedy's baby. By suggesting she would carry on an adulterous affair with a married man (and a US Senator, especially someone like Ted Kennedy who was hardly GQ material even in his prime). And in the same breath you claim to care about Mary Jo? pfffft
1
Linda Bowers why do you care so much about that "poor girl"? I mean, it's not like you care about the poor boy who got killed when Laura Bush ran a stop sign #selectiveoutrage
1
One Merciless Ming--It never ceases to amuse me how many Bush sycophants ooze out of the woodwork to defend the corrupt and downright immoral Bush clan. So, One...here are so facts you were apparently either too lazy or too dazed by the Bush hype to look up yourself. Once upon a time (November 4, 1963 to be exact) Laura Welch Bush ran a stop sign and t-boned a vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle (a 17 year-old boy) was killed instantly; Bush was thrown through the window of the vehicle and injured and treated at a hospital. It happened in Midland, Texas on a wide-open country road, on a clear, dry night with no obstructions to visibility. The police report was inconclusive as to whether she may have been intoxicated; her father at the time was very well-off (owned his own home construction company). She was never charged for manslaughter nor was she cited for reckless driving. She also was not administered a field sobriety test. And UNLIKE Ted Kennedy (who at least had the decency to go to MJ Kopechne's funeral, whom the Teabaggers have mocked for wearing his neck brace) Laura Welch Bush didn't even BOTHER to show up at the funeral of the friend and classmate who died because of her. She also said the incident "caused [her] to lose her faith for many, many years" (imagine if Michelle Obama ever uttered those words, the Teabaggers would have a meltdown).
1
Harry Tuttle he’s a diver not a forensic pathologist
1
Baskerville22 probably because an autopsy wasn’t needed to confirm what was already known through common sense
1
Baskerville22 let me add that I am not a Ted Kennedy fan and in fact I can’t stand Liberals...how many times do I have to repeat myself about this?
1
+Vern Pascal "the rest of his life"? He was guilty of manslaughter which is a 2-6 year sentence. Stop it with these ridiculous murder conspiracies.
1
@luvsylee combination of drowning and hypothermia
1
Troy The Pirate Nation is a Teabagger who can't get a date.
1
Ed Baker yeah nice try with the usual “fake news” retort used when we all else fails. Gingrich ADMITTED to committing adultery you fool! Don’t you remember how he pathetically tried to blame it on his patriotism? You people are just outrageous...
1
deusimperator that’s good to know, I’ll be sure to ask my local chief of police if it would be all right if I went out for a drive after drinking a fifth of vodka as long as I keep the speed below 15 mph and keep to the side of the road. I’ll you know what they say...
1
Sara Smith I used to go out drinking every night and cheating on my wife, then I turned 40 and I changed. I sought God’s forgiveness.
