  1. "Seeking asylum is not a crime...seeking asylum is not illegal" ...the Democrats are like broken records. If you're seeking asylum, you either have to: 1) apply at a U.S. embassy/consulate in your neighboring country (which means only Mexicans can do so on U.S. soil), or 2) present yourself to a CBP official at a port of entry. These people don't do either; they either sneak across, or (as in the case of the recent caravans) they rush the border. The ones who are caught and arrested receive a summons which is their chance to make their asylum case before a judge. Most if not all of them skip their court date.

  2. 9:25 they should PREFERABLY apply for asylum while in Mexico, but technically, all one has to do to apply for asylum (at a minimum) is simply present themselves at a POE to an immigration officer. However a lot of these people won't even do THAT. They try to sneak across, or as we saw last year, they STORM the border with the intent of overwhelming the border forces.
