  1. +Raymond things like nice weather, scenic views, large museums, etc., are things to which not everybody is entitled. I live in Fargo. Not the most glamorous place; our winters are rough, it's geographically isolated and can be boring...but a city with a reasonably good quality of life. I earn around $30,000/year (obviously I'm not rich) but my rent is $350/month for a studio, and state income tax is ridiculously low (1%) so I live comfortably. It is hard for me to sympathize with people living in places like CA or FL who feel entitled to have mild winters and live close to the beach, and then complain about the cost of living. If you're struggling to pay rent, you need to find somewhere else to live. Simple as that.

  2.  @goodone5590  I also hearing people complaining about the cost of healthcare, even as they go out and buy soy lattes every weekday morning. Over a month that can add up. But that's a debate for a different time...

  3. +MEU Productions I visited that area over the summer (Michigan City and New Buffalo). I really liked the lakefront area. It seemed like there aren't very many jobs though.

  4. 2:11 - _"we share one car"_. Wow what a tough life. Who would even need a car at all living in a city like San Francisco? That being said, it's still prohibitively expensive even if you live there without a car.
