Shouldn’t we double all Americans’ taxes to pay for healthcare and housing for the migrants? Oh and they need train passes to get to work so we should pay for that too. Migrants pay taxes too - every time they buy that box of Ramen noodles they are paying taxes on that. We are such a selfish and greedy nation and that goes for you too.

@Never-mind1960 you said “immigration”. Nobody in either party is opposed to immigration. The Republicans are opposed to ILLEGAL immigration, whereas the Democrats are in favor of it. Republicans are not opposed to drug treatment programs, in fact, many Republicans now are calling for the country to bring back mental asylums (which the liberal Democrats have stubbornly resisted). Mental asylums are the best way to get all those homeless drug addicts living on the streets a place to sleep at night while at the same time getting treatment for their condition. Liberal Democrats would rather block these efforts and let those people continue to sleep on the streets, which puts themselves and others at risk. To further this narrative Liberal Democrats will concoct falsities that mental asylums are cruel and inhumane places, which is so ironic because it condones the alternative which is allowing these individuals to continue sleeping on the streets.
