  1. +John Gagnon, yes I've looked at the BLS rankings, but I think what you meant to say is that Nevada has the 11th worst unemployment rate of all 50 states and the District of Columbia, so I'm not sure I would use the term "good enough" LOL...having said that, I misspoke when I said unemployment rate because that only counts the number of people who are out of work and who qualify for UI benefits. In fact Florida shouldn't even be counted in that category at all, because ITS unemployment system is by far the WORST of all 50 states. In Florida you can only receive UI benefits for up to 14 weeks (every other state allows at least 26 weeks, and a few allow 30) in addition to the fact that they cap your weekly checks at $275 (far below the national average)...but don't get me started. I lived in Florida and hated hated hated it. But I have a hunch you feel the same :)

  2. +spacekoalalove I lived for a year in Phoenix and one thing I will say about Vegas is that it has a lot more diversity than Phoenix does especially with regards to its cuisine options, so I think you're right on that point

  3. AinokeatoProductions I'm sure there are positives to living in Las Vegas, but the job market is not one of them. Nevada consistently has some of the highest unemployment levels of all 50 states, and had the highest the foreclosure rate after the 2008 financial crisis. So, on this point the poster is correct.
