If you’re a pilot then you know how miserable FA’s are in their job, and some of the arbitrary rules which they impose on passengers which have nothing to do with the safety of the flight.

@ABQSentinel Okay. You really should include some type of disclaimer in your original responses so people don't think you're an actual commercial pilot, but I'm glad you clarified that. I have a pilot's certificate too and I'm familiar with what FARs are. You're right, the mere fact that this flight attendant even brought up the FARs just shows she's on a power trip and looking to enforce her will on passengers. However, I need to be fair here. I am biased against flight attendants because I know how they can be. But we need to know what happened BEFORE the recording. These videos never give us the full story. I would be interested to hear the FA tell what happened to lead up to this; she is entitled to tell her side of the story. We cannot speculate.

Ever since 9/11, a lot of flight attendants do have a power trip. Their mentality is ”The customer is supposed to do whatever we say or we’ll throw you off the plane”

Why? The flight attendant looks pretty hot. Not sure I’d date a FA though, as most of them seem so miserable in their jobs. They want to be able to travel the world for free and stay in nice hotels, but they don’t want to deal with difficult people which is a fundamental tenet of all customer service.

Do you know another thing that flight attendants do that really pisses me off? This has been happening a lot in recent years. They’ll go up and down the cabin, forcing passengers, were seated by the windows to close their shades during daytime flights. The reason they darken the cabin is to make the passengers drift off to sleep and reduce their workload. They’ll deny this, but they’re fooling nobody.

@stevencorey7702 lol, with flight attendants yes, because the vast majority of them do hate their job. They want to be able to travel the world for free and stay in nice fancy hotels, but they don’t want to deal with the difficult customers.

@Chris-nw5lk I’m surprised you haven’t noticed this problem. There have been articles written about it by prominent bloggers, and in fact, one of the airlines (American) actually had to issue a memorandum to its flight crews to stop doing this. I haven’t had this problem on every flight, but it’s happened often enough to be a nuisance and to cause me to lose respect for flight attendants.
