Homeless shelters don't allow you to smoke or drink or shoot up. That's why many street people choose to sleep on trains or in bus stations or tents.

@roguelegend4945 FALSE. They have special family shelters, or separate rooms for families. Having children means you are all but guaranteed to qualify for food stamps which gives you more money to pay rent. American society prioritizes women and children over single childless men.

@tonygarcia2591 yeah, and subway trains and subway stations at night are really safe too! There is nothing....NOTHING...you can say to me on this issue that I haven't heard from a million other people just like you. So save it.
