  4.  @Inoculatemybrain  whenever you see someone behaving like this, you can assume drugs. This is not normal behavior, and it's not mental illness. My father has (and has had) practically every mental illness in the book: Alzheimer's, severe depression, severe anxiety, bipolar...but he never damaged a train, never shoplifted and certainly never harmed anyone.

But please, don't walk into the trap of attributing mental illness to all criminal acts, which is something that the media (who are mostly Leftist) love doing. I don't like this because it's a way for people to minimize responsibility for criminal activity. Under this logic, Saddam Hussein could've avoided responsibility for his atrocities by claiming he was mentally ill and had a bad relationship with his mommy when he was 10.

  6.  nomenclature9607  it's the drugs that cause the behavior. The self-victimization is what emboldens them to do it knowing that there won't be any consequences (ie- they won't be charged once the case reaches Kim Foxx's desk)
