  2.  @Nemo71340  I have very mixed feelings about unions. I live in Illinois which is a closed shop state. Union dues are mandatory in many jobs, even minimum wage jobs — and that’s something I eventually grew to hate. Texas is a right-to-work state, so unions are not very powerful there.
