  1. Notice how Bush is not wearing glasses as he reads from his typed speech. When Bush was president, he was often photographed wearing glasses while reading or studying. In reality, Bush had (and still appears to have) good eyesight. The reading glasses he would wear in the White House were a non-prescription (or a very weak prescription) which his aides encouraged him to wear in order to appear more "intellectual" or "stately".
