1:24 "I was a citizen by birth by virtue of my mother's citizenship" Barack Obama's mother was born in Kansas. I loved listening to the Teabaggers do mental calisthenics trying to explain why Ted Cruz' citizenship was not an issue while Barack Obama's was.

@crd721 yes as a matter of fact, I do remember it correctly. The right went out of their way to quash any questions about Ted Cruz' eligibility (btw, I have a Pol Sci degree too) https://www.foxnews.com/politics/lawyers-say-canadian-born-cruz-eligible-to-run-for-president http://www.westernherald.com/opinion/article_17bd6e2e-c6a4-11e5-83f7-abb60d1545d9.html

@gejost I know that. But even if he had been born in Kenya, he would've still been eligible going by the same logic that Ted Cruz had applied to himself and which the Republicans applied to him

@blanchekonieczka9935 this is an old post. What made you think of this now?

@blanchekonieczka9935 lol, I wouldn't worry about Cruz. He's not going to run for president anytime soon, and Trump is definitely not considering him for his VP.

Thesaurus the problem is that nearly all conservatives that I've personally spoken with or listened to on TV/radio were willing to overlook Ted Cruz' issue with this even as they pounced on Barack Obama. Trump was one of very few exceptions to this rule. I give him some credit for at least being consistent (unlike the rest of his party) but then again he was probably doing it for political reasons.
