@hemiyachtcharger6538 let me save you some trouble here so you don't waste five minutes of your life like I did. It's dangerous and/or illegal to leave small children unattended in cars (doesn't matter whether the engine is running, or whether the AC is on) so this discussion about remote starters that Kevin Waller started is pointless.

Unicorn Lover Lols Unicorn Lover Lols thank you, that was my whole point. Leaving a child unattended in a car for any period of time is not only dangerous but also illegal in some jurisdictions. We have idiots here talking about how a remote starter works, which is completely irrelevant to the discussion.

@kevinwaller6353 I'm just telling you the facts. There have been cases of young children getting injured (some fatally) by power windows. All I said was it's dangerous (whether illegal or not) to leave children unattended in a car whether or not the engine is running.

Kevin Waller sure but that remote start device really isn’t necessary Kevin because every vehicle which is equipped with power windows and power locks has a child-lock feature (controlled from the driver’s seat) to make it impossible for the windows to be opened by anyone in the rear seat or for the doors to he opened while the vehicle is in motion. My old Ford Focus had this feature.
