@aaronrogers4533 I want to clarify one thing: I'm American and I was rooting FOR the Aussie women to beat the USA. This is about the only time in my life I've ever rooted against a U.S. team, but any pieces of garbage who kneel during our national anthem are not entitled to my or anyone else's support.

@aaronrogers4533 I’m not sure where you grew up, but from the time I was in first grade learning to recite the Pledge of Allegiance, we were told to stand up, place our hands over our hearts and face the flag in the classroom. That meant no sitting, no kneeling, no crouching, no slouching. Not hard to understand for me even as a six year old. It’s also not just the gesture itself, but the intent behind it. Megan Rapinoe has been very outspoken that she considers America a racist and sexist country. So no, she does not intend the kneeling as any sign of respect. That would be like if you spit in my face and said ”Have a nice day Sean” . You don’t get to say that wishing someone a good day is a sign of politeness when in this instance it’s very obvious you’re being sarcastic.
