I can pretty much guarantee you what will happen when the verdict is read: Brooks will be asked to stand and face the jury as the verdict is read, and he will refuse to do both of those things. As soon as the verdict is read, he will start one of his usual hissy fits, object and claim they violated his rights. He will begin cussing out the jurors and/or muttering to himself as they are being asked by the court clerk to verbally confirm their verdicts. At that point, Judge Dorow will thank and formally dismiss the jurors from jury duty (which is standard procedure). Brooks will object again, and demand that the jurors be brought back into the courtroom so he can question them on how they reached their verdict and demand why they didn't spend more time looking at certain pieces of "evidence". As all of this is going, on Judge Dorow will also be admonishing him and asking him to remain quiet, and he'll start in his usual accusations of "judicial misconduct" by the Judge. Anyone want to take bets on my predictions?

@coreyhess8721 God I hadn't considered that scenario but it's not out of the realm of possibility. Let's hope and pray it doesn't come to that, but I'm sure the sheriff's department knows what they're doing and will guard against such a nightmarish scenario.

@ollieox9181 I think you understand that the reason the Judge hasn't held him in contempt is because the case is so high profile and she has wanted to avoid any appearance of bias, not to mention not wanting to give him any ammunition for his appeal, which she is clever enough to know he will do if he is convicted. He can appeal for whatever reason he wants. I think what you're referring to are grounds for overturning a jury's verdict. Notice how angry and belligerent he has been in the past few days. Up to this point he has been plenty argumentative and difficult but it's been more in a calm, passive-aggressive sort of way, which is part of his plan to force a mistrial or perhaps some type of insanity defense. He's now starting to realize that the judge isn't falling for his trap and so he is losing his composure, not to mention the stress of the trial is taking its toll on him.

@ollieox9181 much as she would like to say this, she can't. He's going to appeal this case until he's 120 so she has to make sure these hearings are as fair as possible. She can't even show the slightest hint of impartiality which is why she has had to resist the urge to hold him in contempt of court up until now.

@ollieox9181 are you sure about that? Remember, until she bangs that gavel anything she says to him is public record.
