  1. Transit fees for the Russian pipelines is a large part of the revenue stream for Ukraine. Of course, the pipelines were built by the Soviet Union, not by Ukraine. That probably has made Russia unhappy, but until now they didn't really have a choice. The sanctions are going to have the effect of pushing Ukraine's economy over the edge. It was easy money for little or no work.

  2. Russian troops are going through the command center down in the basement of Azovstal, collecting records and evidence. If The Guardian still thinks the ukrainians won, they might as well just quit and give their money back to Bill and Melinda Gates.
