  1. With the dam damaged, there still will be water flowing in the river above the dam. It should be relatively simple to get portable pumps to continue the flow into the canal to crimea. While it is important, the canal is not actually that big, and Russia had done a lot of work digging wells to fill the gap. If you look at Crimea in google earth, a lot of crimea is barren desert
