  2. Trying to refine rare Earth minerals, which by itself is a very vague term - is difficult without damaging the environment. China has developed the processes and the technology to refine these things, in fact the rare earth minerals in the United States are currently sent to China for processing. Getting access to Ukraine's resources doesn't end our dependency on China.

  3. That's correct. Originally Macron was going to be on that call, but he decided to go to the White House. There's a local photographer in DC that has a YouTube channel called penguin 6. He covered macron's arrival, and was a little bit surprised that macron's car showed up, since he was staying at the Blair house right across the street. It's all about the optics.
