But at least the Navy submarines have gender-neutral bathrooms!

Without maintenance and three compressors doing the work of five, it's just a matter of time until there's not enough pressure to push any gas through the pipeline

@daviddoran3673 if that report is true, that ship left Ashdod Israel on June 12th. It is heading due West towards Gibraltar at 12 knots, and is going to arrive at some unspecified point in 6 days. If I can see the ship in the MarineTraffic app, the Russians. must have a pretty good idea, too. Assuming that this is true, why did Israel have a stockpile of these, and are they weakening their own military capability by giving them up?

The new plan is that the East Med pipeline would go through Egypt and head North instead of going via Cyprus. The EU/NATO is going to have way too much on its hands the next few years to be focused on building a pipeline

And Nord stream 2 is only half owned by gazprom. The people who fronted half of the cost of building it probably would like to see it turned on.

I think the root cause here is that Putin knows in no uncertain terms that the President of the United States is incapable of making decisions on military issues, which we see reflected in this continually changing strategy - probably infighting between the CIA and the Pentagon.

The more complex the weapon systems, the more training the operators need and coordination between intelligence gathering and targeting. Ukrainians are not going to acquire those skills before they lose. The only way to stop Russian advances is with direct US intervention. Even so, when we decided to go after Saddam Hussein in the first Gulf War, it took a year to get the heavy armor in place in the desert of Saudi Arabia to cross the border into Kuwait, due to a lack of ocean shipping capacity.

That probably was originally the goal, but I think we're rapidly headed towards the goal being the destruction of the EU as the member countries start fighting each other as the resources run out. Control of resources is often the cause of war.

Russians play chess. You don't risk sacrificing your queen to take a pawn.

When I read that, I thought I saw tampon shortages

By imposing these sanctions, the end game is that Russia will become much more self-sufficient

There is no need to worry. The Vatican is protected by a very thick wall

Firing missiles into Ashdod would certainly create some complications

What if that country is Israel?

By American style, do you mean like in Afghanistan? Where we paid the Taliban to not attack US troops?

People are much more willing to die for their own country than to risk death for someone else's country

Russia has put the threat out there that if things escalate, they will attack the locations where the decisions are being made, and that is "not inside Ukraine". Brussels is the obvious candidate.
1
The longer the conflict goes on, the more that Russia will demand at the negotiating table

The Ukrainian mines floating in the harbor?

They probably cannot get that completed in time for winter in Germany

By the way, the railway workers in the UK are going on strike. The dock workers in the United States have a contract that expires July 1st. The railroads in the United States are falling behind because of the lack of workers and an inability to find people who want to work for the railroad. The trucking business is in collapse because truckers can't afford the diesel fuel. Who is John Galt?
