  1. Don't really need a VPN to do get around region restricted content. Get free AWS account, set you region in the country you wish access content, create EC2 instance with Squid proxy. Put your proxy setting to the IP address you get from AWS and you have access. Your internet traffic will come out in country the proxy is set. This isn't a VPN but gets the job done for fee with less encryption overhead. A bit of hassle though in some cases. So that where paying monthly fee for VPN can be easier and not hassle in using. But if you don't have credit card like teen in school that wants to play Fortnight at school where they block it this works great.
