My first thought, also, & only because I worked a rental place where we had some really old customers, & this old widow woman came in one day raising hell because she figured she had paid for her equipment 10x over. So, they sold her the ( now ) piece of junk on a payment plan to make her happy. She religiously made payments every Monday, & we all got to know her life story ( which had been pretty amazing ). A year later, while writing out her last payment, she got all teary eyed, & said, “Well, I guess this is it… last time I’ll be seeing all of y’all…”, so the boss invited her to attend our end-of-the month safety/lunch meetings &, of course, she was still welcome to drop by anytime.
I think a lot of it has to do, nowadays, with so many being secluded for so long, that they don’t know how to make conversation or act sociable.

For those who cut her short…
Here’s what the doctor was referring to. Source: US Attorney General’s government website.

Man pleads guilty to
health care fraud, aggravated identity theft, and money laundering in connection with a years-long scheme to defraud Medicare of more than $17 million through sham hospice companies and his home health care company.
2024
Houston man guilty in $160M Medicare fraud scheme
2022
An orthopedic surgeon was arrested for health care fraud in connection with a $10 million scheme involving the submission of false and fraudulent claims to Medicare and Medicare Part D plans.
2018
Thirteen individuals, including five doctors, a chiropractor, three licensed physical and occupational therapists and two pharmacy owners have been charged for their participation in fraudulent schemes in connection with which Medicare and Medicaid programs were billed more than $163 million.
The charges filed in federal court in Brooklyn and Central Islip, New York, are part of a nationwide health care fraud takedown, led by the Medicare Fraud Strike Force, which resulted in criminal charges against 601 individuals for their alleged participation in health care fraud schemes involving approximately $2 billion in fraudulent claims.

The national debt exploded under his last reign. You can’t fix the problem with the same problem. Had you listened to all 14 minutes, she said where the mass fraud was.
But since you didn’t listen, I’ll bore you with this bit of information of where massive fraud was previously found:

Sorry about that jerk, I grew up around quite a few.
Was listening to “Skews” last Tuesday, about 3 states that declined children a free meal (even though it’s a federally funded program). As he said, “It’s an investment in, not only in the children’s future, but the nation as a whole.”. He was able to repay way more back in bc of the federally funded education & food that he received as a child.
Basically about to be in your situation, even though I was fortunate enough to find a place owner financed & being extremely frugal, a bout with cancer left me with no savings, unable to maintain it, & city encroachment is such that I’m unable to afford to bring it up to code — city wants more than I paid for the place to access services. So to sell, might leave me with enough to find a reliable car.
Would have moved elsewhere, years ago, had there been anywhere else I could have lived cheaper — been hearing single woman saying the same for 15 years now.

FEMA's emergency response is based on small, decentralized teams trained in such areas as the National Disaster Medical System (NDMS), Urban Search and Rescue (USAR), Disaster Mortuary Operations Response Team (DMORT), Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT), and Mobile Emergency Response Support (MERS).
A FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Task Force (US&R Task Force) is a team of individuals specializing in urban search and rescue, disaster recovery, and emergency triage and medicine. The teams are deployed to emergency and disaster sites within six hours of notification. The Federal Emergency Management Agency(FEMA) created the Task Force concept to provide support for large scale disasters in the United States. FEMA provides financial, technical and training support for the Task Forces as well as creating and verifying the standards of Task Force personnel and equipment.
There are 28 Task Forces in the United States, each sponsored by a local agency. In the event of a disaster in the United States, the nearest three Task Forces will be activated and sent to the site of the disaster. If the situation is large enough, additional teams will be activated.
The search and rescue personnel are organized into four rescue squads, each composed of an officer and five rescue specialists, and are capable of working 12-hour alternating shifts. The medical personnel include two task force physicians and four medical specialists.

Whenever I go near a Walmart, there’s always someone asking for $10. One day I had a headache, & since that was the only place in town that had any fuel left, I had to suck it up. As soon as I started pumping fuel, a lady approached & before she could say “Do you have…” I screamed “NO!”, & she ran & got into a vehicle that was 12 years newer than my old beater. Normally I ask them a billion questions until they give up & try an easier mark, but a loud, firm “NO!”, sends them packing. It was great practice for when I pulled into a desserted station in the middle of nowhere & a car full of people pulled in close behind, a woman & man got out, approached with “Do you know god?”.

Very true. I cringe wherever I hear women , who cannot afford rent, so determined to have a baby before their biological clock runs out. None of them appear to be healthy enough to survive childbirth, little on raise a child. And I get it, I really do, bc when I turned 41, I was dating an older man who had a good job with the state, & he was begging me to have his child, & I was thinking, “its now or never”. Thankfully I came to my senses in a matter of a week, & 22 years later, I’ve never been more grateful. Every. Single. Day. Grateful.
Every time I get on fb to see if anyone has a request for something I may have, there’s as many as 5 young girls asking for diapers or formula, & most are already pregnant again or have more than one in diapers. The future is not looking good for these young mothers, & even less so for their children:

Please find a somewhat newer vehicle. Chrysler has always been difficult to find parts for, and any vehicle 2006 & older are becoming extremely difficult to get parts for. Long story short: you can order them new, but they’re made so cheaply, they arrive broken or break during installation.
Best place to look is someone you know, like a neighbor or a mechanic. And if you can, Honda or Toyota, both are quality vehicles. Just say “no” to any high dollar maker, like BMW, not even for free, because you must go through them for high dollar maintenance & repairs, otherwise, they will never touch it after anyone else.
