  1. Share this with everyone who ask for $$. I didn’t have an allowance until I was 11 yrs old, & it was a nickel a week, & that’s how I learned to live on dime. But I’ve come to realize that budgeting isn’t intuitive. There’s a young veteran who was down to nothing & living in his car, with help he was able to get an RV. After about 2 months I showed him a job listing 2 blocks away. He got the job & is really happy with it. I’ve offered to take him to the laundromat where I spend $3 to wash & dry a load of clothes, but he prefers to the newest laundromat that’s no less than $10 a load. I wouldn’t mention this but, because he’s out of money every 3 weeks, he ask that I bring him food, which I can barely afford my own.
