I bought a hunk of land 30 years ago, & it still requires weekly maintenance ( twice a week in the summer ) & taxes to be paid. The city incorporated it 6 years ago, & as of 3 years ago, they no longer allow RVs to be parked inside the city limits.

I’m just a wee bit younger & probably more bullheaded. I don’t want to be a burden to anyone either, so I’ll tell you what a handsome trucker told me years ago, “Baby, there are people who want to help. You make them feel bad when you won’t let them.”. I’ve repeated that in my head so many times that I’m now beyond help, because I never took the advice.

Do you realize how much rent is in CA?

I don’t live anywhere near a HOA, but most cities have ordinances… mine doesn’t allow RVs. And all counties have some kind of septic & electrical codes. Some even require a minimum for living space.

Glorious replied to an earlier comment that a campsite within proximity of medical care would cost $2000 per month. I don’t know about anyone else, but that was 10x my monthly house payment.

Glorious explained, in a reply, that the campsites within proximity of medical care would run $2,000 a month.

If there is, they would be more than long term spaces… which start around $2k a month. Which is more than SSI pays.
